Part-Time Work & Industrial Placement
Part-time job opportunity is an exceptional way to create yourself more employable and cultivate the skills you demand to get that job when you graduate. The talents you acquire through part-time work can be added to you CV to show potential employers that you have certain work experience and have the skills they require.
- 20 hours a week during term time while studying at degree level or above at a higher education institution.
- During Vacation period, you can work fulltime.
- 10 hours a week during term time while studying a course that is below degree level at a higher education institution
Fulltime Work
There are numbers of immigration routes including are offered in UK including tier 1 graduate entrepreneur & tier 2 (general) work permit for skilled migrants with a job offer. Tier 2 is fast becoming the user-friendliest scheme for entry into the UK.
Tier 2 General
The Tier 2 General visa is currently one of the very important entry routes into the United Kingdom for skilled workers who are from outside of the European Economic Area. To eligible, if you are applying for entry under this visa scheme you MUST be holding the Certificate of Sponsorship from a Licensed UK Employer through possession of the job offer. The work you do in the UK must relate to the work of your sponsor organization.
Tier 2 has four categories:
- General: for skilled workers who have been offered a job by a UK-based organization
- Intra Company Transfers: for employees of multi-national companies who are being relocated by an overseas employer to a skilled job in a UK-based division of the company
- Sports People: for elite sportspeople and coaches whose employment will create a meaningful contribution to the growth of their sport at the highest level
- Ministers of Religion: for people being offered an employment position as a Minister, Missionary or a member of a religious order (monk, nun or similar).
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur
Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa could be permitted to graduates who have engaged in pioneering entrepreneurial activity during their educations. This visa permits them to stay in the UK following their graduation to develop their business concepts. A graduate entrepreneur lasts for an initial period of one year. Those who are granted a Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa can apply to have that visa extended by one year.
Tier 1 Entrepreneur
Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa is an ideal solution for entrepreneurs with some wealth to capitalize in the UK. You may be able to apply for this visa if at least £50,000 could be invested in UK. Whereas, in some cases people who apply will need to have £200,000 of accessible funds held in a regulated financial institution.
Family
The following family members can join you or stay with you in the UK:
- Spouse or civil partner
- Unmarried partner or same sex partner who is not a civil partner
- Children aged under 18 if they are outside the UK
Settlement
Tier 2 can lead to settlement in the UK after five years of continuous lawful residence. It is also possible to apply for settlement under the long residence rule if you have spent 10 years of continuous lawful residence in the UK with any type of immigration permission.

Student Accommodation office keeps a limited amount of family accommodation for married students.
Health centres, clubs, gym and fitness centres are available for recreation of student. Sport centres offer an extensive programme of fitness classes for all tastes and levels, plus individual advice, training programmes and tuition in many sports. Every UK University encourages its students to make friends, develop hobbies and enhance their social life.
Student Union time to time organises variety of programmes throughout the year in which all students are welcomed to take part actively.
